Moses is facing a potential six weeks out, which would rule him out of the third State of Origin clash and crucially a large chunk of Parramatta’s season.
Scans of the star halfback’s calf injury has revealed the bitter blow to both the Eels and Blues fortunes.
The Eels confirmed Moses will miss four to six weeks in a statement.
“The Parramatta Eels can confirm that Mitchell Moses has suffered a moderate calf strain while in NSW Blues camp training for State of Origin Game II,” the statement said.
“Moses is expected to return in 4-6 weeks.”
Moses is historically diligent in rehabilitating his injuries and is privately hoping to be back between three to five weeks.
There are 25-days until Origin III and given NSW coach Laurie Daley will need his Moses training in the 10-day build-up to the final match of the series. his hopes of representing the Blues again this year are all but over.

A best-case scenario of three weeks out for Moses would be that he is available for the Eels Round 19 clash with the Panthers.
However, given the delicate nature of calf injuries, Moses may opt to play it safe and sit out six weeks to return in Round 21.
It is a huge blow for the Eels, who are already second last on the ladder and Moses missed the start of the season with a foot injury, which saw the club struggle in his absence.
