‘I need more third party deals’: Munster roasts Anasta in all-time interview from QLD Origin camp

No one was safe from a quick-thinking Cameron Munster as the cheeky Queensland Maroons star delivered a hilarious live TV cross ahead of Wednesday night’s State of Origin opener.

FOX LEAGUE, available on Kayo Sports, is the only place to watch every game of every round in the 2025 NRL Telstra Premiership, LIVE with no ad-breaks during play. New to Kayo? Get your first month for just $1. Limited-time offer.

Munster, who missed the entire 2024 series after aggravating a groin injury, is fully fit and ready to go as the Maroons look to win back the shield.

However, he wasn’t completely prepared as NRL 360 co-host and Munster’s manager, Braith Anasta, revealed he had to express post his client’s boots and mouthguard to him in camp.

Munster didn’t seem too worried about not having his mouthguard though, joking that he doesn’t “really make a whole heap of tackles” and comparing himself to a “speedbump” on the field.

The self-deprecating humour continued when Munster was quizzed on an interaction between Maroons halfback Daly Cherry-Evans and referee Ashley Klein and asked if he had met up with any officials ahead of Wednesday’s game.

“I’m pretty sure the referees aren’t a big fan of myself,” Munster replied with a wry smile, adding that he does too much “whinging” on the field.

While Munster was happy to take plenty of shots at himself, he also saved a few for the panel, telling The Daily Telegraph’s Phil Rothfield that he is a big fan of the videos Anasta puts up of him on his Instagram story “all the time”.

But Munster left his best line for last when Rothfield jokingly asked him about being spotted with controversial player agent Isaac Moses.

The Queensland five-eighth called it “one of the best questions you’ve ever had” and went on to cheekily claim “I don’t even have a manager anymore”.

“That’s probably why I was catching up with him at the cafe,” Munster continued.

“I need a little bit more money and third parties and unfortunately my old manager Braith Anasta didn’t do enough for me.

“He’s too busy looking pretty and putting himself in the Daily Mail every week.”

It left the NRL 360 panel in stitches, capping off a classic cross with Munster who looks confident as ever as he aims to bring the shield back up north.
