The Sea Eagles have reportedly handed Michael Ennis a 12-month contract extension in a telling sign Anthony Seibold will remain at the helm in 2026.
According to Code Sports, Manly have tabled an offer for Ennis to continue as the club’s attacking coach for a further year, primarily working with their spine.
Therefore, Seibold is set to stay in the club’s head coaching role, with Ennis reportedly seen as an NRL coach-in-waiting.

Seibold is contracted until the end of the 2027 season but has endured a turbulent season at Brookvale this year, with finals football also a long shot sitting in 10th position.
Daly Cherry-Evans’ shock decision to depart the club had a negative impact on the Sea Eagles’ squad, while Manly have also been hit with a wave of injuries.
Club powerbrokers reportedly understand the influence of the Cherry-Evans transfer saga on the playing group and are therefore happy to back Seibold for a further 12 months.
However, his future beyond next season remains unclear, with Seibold reportedly considering walking away from coaching after his current deal.

Manly bosses have reportedly previously approached Ennis to discuss a succession plan for him to take the reins from Seibold after his current deal.
However, Ennis’ agent George Mimis reportedly informed the club his sole focus was to assist Seibold, having joined the club’s coaching ranks at the start of the 2025 season.
Ennis will also have a huge role to play in Manly’s success next year with Raiders gun Jamal Fogarty arriving at the club.
